The question of whether or not gays should be alowed in the military is a hotly debated event in curnent politics and their are many arguments for and aginst it. these very arguments give us some insight about where our society is going and how willing we really are to accept others. So now we have two citizens both wanting to join the military and both identical in everyway save the fact that one in straight and one is gay. They both pass all tests with the same score yet one is let in and one is not base on sexual orientation. If this was the same circumstances only on man was black and one was white and the African was turned away it was be racist. If one was a woman and one was a male it would be sexiest. People say that culture or they way your brought up can condition you to be gay such as having gay parents. However, Homosexuality is also seen in countless animal species how culture could produce such behavior is a good question.(Kangas. 19) Of course animals have not culture have no sense of right or wrong have no sense of shame or guilt. Therefore culture could not be responsible for this animal behavior and animals lack the cognitive ability to choose a sexual orientation. Therefore its biological inborn in them. If an animal is hungry it eats if its tired it sleeps and if it born gay it behaves gay. Question: Analyze the many contributions that George Washington made to the creation of the United States of America. What did you think about how much the actor Mark Collins looked like George Washington? With what you learned in the video-lecture presentations would you fight on the Colonists side to gain the freedom like George Washington, Ben Franklin, etc did? Please provide examples! Would you be willing to lose everything you had to gain freedom from Great Britain? Thinking Question: What forces produced the American Revolution that you learned about? Why were/are Generals Nathaniel Green and Daniel Morgan essential in winning the American Revolution? Why? What modern application would apply to you from what you learned in the video lessons? Were the Colonists right in wanting their freedom from Great Britain? Why? Answer: Introduction- The study here deals with some important points related to the American Revolution and its understanding on the bases of a video shown on that. Solution- George Washington is called the Father of his country, U.S., rightfully because of the contributions he made to the creation of the United States of America. Washington commanded the Continental Army in the American Revolutionary War (17751783). He was the first President of the United States of America. He is the most influential and famous personality of the history of the U.S., because of his great dedication and love for the nation. He led the country on both political and military fronts and freed it from the British. He joined the military during the Battles of Lexington and Concord leaving the political works behind. He led the army in many battles; one of the most important was The Battle of Germantown. He was a genius in leadership (Cogliano, 2010). It is said that George Washington is Mark Collins alter ego. On watching the movie and seeing the photos of real Washington, I too feel that he was the best choice to play that role. He looked so much alike and played the role with such perfection that made the story look so real on screen (Baptist Press, 2015). The video actually inspires a viewer as a patriot. The depiction and presentation of those times of revolutions and all the emotions and patriotism actually make the viewer feel that and relate to that. It really shook the patriot inside me and I do believe that if I were born at that time, I would have surely participated in the revolution at any cost. Independence is a birth right and I would do anything to get that for my countrymen. The American Revolution was actually a political upheaval. It made the colonists rebellion and they revolted against the British aristocracy and monarchy. These rebels, who were called the patriots refused to pay any taxes and founded their own United States of America. The rebel colonies of the thirteen American colonies started the battle for freedom due to the social, political and financial anarchies of the British (Brown Smith, 1902). It all started due to the various taxes imposed on the natives and the acts which made the British stronger and natives lose hold of their land, like the Act of Townshend, the Tea Act, The Quebec Act and Intolerable acts. All these atrocities led to revolution and then freedom. British had been very successful in almost all the battles, but then emerged the leadership of Generals Nathanael Greene and Daniel Morgan who turned the war into a new brutal guerrilla and hit and run warfare. Both of them actually played a very active and important role in the battles with British and gave the Revolution a much needed strength The video shows the American Revolution and if we try to relate it to the present, now the fears and threats are of different kind. Nations today need unity and patriotism in the same vigour as past because a nation can stand on these pillars only. Any part of the world has the right to freedom and seeing all the atrocities that British were doing the colonies were very much right in fighting for their right.
